When the Projects icon () is selected in the Manage tab, the Funding internal tab can be opened by clicking on a Project ID in the Projects tab. The Funding internal tab will be grayed out and inaccessible until a Project ID is selected.
Function
The Funding internal tab is used to add, modify, and delete funding information for each project. The funding amounts added from the "Select Projects from PINFO" interface are stored here.
Table Columns
The table on this tab includes the following columns:
| Column | Used To... |
| Funded By | Display either Statewide or the MPO from which the funding originated; the contents of this field are populated by user permissions. |
| Phase | Display the phase "CON" or construction; read-only but can be overridden by the System Administrator. |
| Program | Display one of the programs that the user has control over. |
| Fund | Display a fund applicable to the selected Program. |
Funding
The selected project on display in the Funding tab can be funded from one or multiple programs and funding sources. If the project is funded from a single Program and Fund Source, the user can select the Fund dropdown in the table to designate the Funding category. If the project is funded from multiple Programs or multiple Fund sources, the user can select the “Add New” link below the fund table to add a new funding record to the project.
The first year in which funding is applied to a project will determine the Escalation factor to be used to update the Adjusted TFPC amount. The user also has the option here to identify the project as AC. If the project is not designated as AC, the user can only enter funding amounts in a single year. To add funds across multiple years, the user will first have to designate the project as AC by selecting the checkbox.
Total Programmed, Target, & Program Lines
There are three lines below the funding table which display the Total Programmed, Target, and Program values for the project. The Total Programmed line is determined by setting the Target using the picklists at the top of the tab. These picklists are filtered to show only those MPOs and Programs that are currently listed in the funding table below. The Total Programmed amount only includes funds that are subject to Obligation Authority and correlate to the specified MPO or Program target. The Target line will display the Program target information from the Budgets tab for the applicable STIP, Year, and MPO or Program. The Balance line will calculate the difference between the MPO or Program target and the Total Programmed amount (including any changes made on the Funding tab) in order to determine if there is additional programming capacity.
Projects Tab
Once changes are saved on the Funding tab, the user can navigate back to the Projects tab to see that the project amounts are no longer displayed in yellow.
