The Project Filters are located at the top left of the STIP Viewer. They are indicated below in a red box.
Function
The Project Filters allow the user to decide the projects to display on the Map Frame based on the given filter categories.
Components
To filter the mapped projects, the user must first select a project type. The project type will be set to "All" by default, but the user can click another project type at any time.
| Project Type | Description |
| All | Map all Highway and Transit projects. |
| Highway | Map all Highway projects. |
| Transit | Map all Transit projects. |
Then, the user can utilize the optional filters to narrow the results further if desired.
| Filters | Description |
| Project ID | A free-form text field that can be used to enter the Project ID in whole or in part. |
| MPO | A picklist of all MPOs associated with STIP projects. |
| Municipality | A picklist of all Municipalities associated with STIP projects. |
| Program | A picklist of all programs associated with STIP projects. |
| Funding Year | A picklist of all years that have STIP data. |
| Key Word | A free-form text field that can be used to enter keywords that appear across project descriptions (ex. "Granby"). |
There are two button controls which activate or reverse the radio button/filter selections.
| Button Control | Description |
| Find | Map the projects that fit the radio button and filter selections. |
| Clear | Delete the filter selections. |
Workflow
The steps below show a simplified version of how to navigate and use the Project Filters box:
- Select a radio button option: All, Highway, or Transit.
- Fill the desired optional filters: Project ID, MPO, Municipality, Program, Funding Year, and/or Key Word.
- Click the "Find" button to map the related projects.
